Web Page

In this last entrance you are going to find a link to the web page that I have created.

Exam (Survey Monkey)

In this entrance you are going to find a link in which I have published a Geography exam.

I believe that this type of websites could be really useful for my future as a teacher because in it you can create different questions and not just the typical ones as Write the name of...

Here you could find the link Exam

Excel

At the end of every semester, the teacher needs to evaluate his/her students work. For that, I think that Excel is a really useful tool.

This is the Excel that I have created in order to evaluate my learners.

As you can see, I am going to evaluate the following items:

  1. Written Exam
    • Reading (20 points)
    • Listening (10 points)
    • Writing (15 points)
    • Vocabulary and Grammar (20 points)
  2. Oral Exam
  3. Homework
    • Two vocabulary excercises (25%)
    • Two readings (25%)
    • Two writings (25%)
    • Three speakings (25%) They are going to record themselves using Skype.
  4. Continuous Evaluation
    • Two vocabulary excercises (25%)
    • Three listenings (20%)
    • Two readings (25%)
    • Two writings (30 %)
From my point of view, I believe that this is a good Excel Spreadsheet in order to evaluate the students because everything is taken into account and the learners are able to improve the four skills (writing, reading, listening and speaking).

SKYPE CONVERSATION

Here you are going to find a link to the Skype conversation that Estibaliz and I recorded some weeks ago.
I think that Skype could be a really useful tool to use in the class, because with it, the students are able to listen to themshelves and find out which are the mistakes that they made.

The name of the file is Lorea and Estibaliz. Here you could find the link

Podcast

In this entrance you are going to find a link to my Podcast. In this podcast I am describing the city of Paris.

Description about a city

ACTIVITY FOR THE STUDENTS

For developing this activity, first of all, the students are going to hear the recording twice. After that, in small groups they have to guess about which city I'm talking. After one or two minutes, one of the groups is going to tell the rest the name of the city and the reason why they think it is that city.

Hot Potatoes

During my university period. I have listened to several teachers talking about an Internet resource called Hot Potatoes but I have never been able to use it. During my ICT lessons I have learnt how to manage it and I believe that it could be a wonderful resource in order to make different activities for the students. I am completely sure that in my future as a teacher I would use it.

This is the link where you could find the Hot Potatoes excercises that Pablo and I have created. For doing the activities you have to download them to your computer.

Digital Story and Rubric

In this part of my Portfolio, I decided to create a Digital Story because I think that it is a really funny and interesting activity that until this course I wouldn't be able to do. The tittle of this story is Little Red Riding Nurse and it is a modern version of the kid's tale Little Red Riding Hood.

You can read the story in the following link:

Little Red Riding Nurse

When our students are perfoming activities, I think that it is really important to give them a rubric. With it, they could know what the teacher is expecting and they would be able to notice the mistakes that they have made.

In this activity, students have to create a digital story using a concrete web page. Before doing it with the computer, they have to plan it, and when the activity is finished, they will have to tell their classmates the story that they have created. After this oral parte, students have to tell their classmates what they think about the story. For the assessment of this work, I have created this rubric in which a lot of different items are going to be evaluated and scored.
